An architect trained in mobility and urban design, Rita worked for Lisbon Municipality for 15 years, contributing to make cycling a viable means of transport and working on dozens of public space projects. Her commitment to an integrated transport system stands out in the Strategic Vision for Lisbon Mobility - Move 2030, which she co-authored. She is pursuing a PhD on 'A path to the Wishful City'.
