Gina Porter has extensive experience of leading interdisciplinary research on walking and other everyday mobility practices among vulnerable groups in diverse African contexts, urban and rural. Her research is typically conducted in close partnership with a diversity of local stakeholders, and incorporates a peer research method with training of community members as co-investigators.
