Olivier Van Damme is a bioengineer specialising in spatial planning. Since 2007, he has been working as a researcher in the Mobility, Safety and Road Management Division of the Belgian Road Research Centre (BRRC) where he is deputy head of division. His activities include research, training, technical assistance and writing reference works, mainly in the field of pedestrian infrastructure.
