With an extensive background in sustainable transport planning, Susanne Elfferding is now in charge of the strategic development of walking and inclusive walking spaces in Hamburg. Before enrolling with the City of Hamburg, she has been active supporting research in Japan about active travel in Europe and earned a PhD at Waseda University in Tokyo. She loves to combine walking and urban sketching.
